Job Description
The Phlebotomist will work independently, performing daily patient interactions to collect blood and other specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires precision in specimen labeling and adherence to hybrid record-keeping systems to ensure accurate data entry and patient records. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential to provide high-quality patient care and maintain compliance with medical standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens through venipuncture and other techniques
- Prepare patients for specimen collection procedures
- Label samples accurately and maintain strict patient identification protocols
- Enter data and maintain records using hybrid documentation systems
- Interact with patients daily to provide care and support during the specimen collection process
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in phlebotomy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification
- Knowledge of phlebotomy, venipuncture, and specimen collection techniques
- Understanding of patient care and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
