Role Description The Sterile Compounder for the 503B site is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL. This role is responsible for preparing sterile compounded products in accordance with prescribed formulations, 503B regulations, and internal standard operating procedures. Daily activities include measuring, mixing, and aseptically compounding medications, setting up and operating cleanroom equipment, and documenting all batch processing steps with accuracy and completeness. The Sterile Compounder will perform in-process checks, support quality control sampling, and assist with equipment cleaning, calibration, and inventory management. The role also involves collaborating with pharmacy, quality, and operations teams, following safety and infection control standards, and participating in ongoing training to maintain compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Qualifications

• Strong sterile Compounding and Batch Processing skills.
• Experience with Quality Control practices, including in-process checks, documentation, and adherence to cGMP or similar standards.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with pharmacy, quality, and operations teams and follow written and verbal instructions.
• High attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
• Previous experience in sterile compounding, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related healthcare or laboratory setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of USP <797>/<800> , 503B requirements, or cGMP guidelines is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical, pharmacy, or science-related education or certification is beneficial.
