What you’ll achieveAs a UEFI/BIOS Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and validation of UEFI/BIOS features for Dell notebook and desktop platforms. You will work with other BIOS developers and architects on BIOS technologies such as power management, system security, and platform management.You will:Work in a collaborative team environment following the Agile Scrum MythologyUtilize the UEFI Firmware stack to design and implement firmware features for Dell notebook and desktop platformsDevelopment firmware solutions using C/C++ and PythonTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements8+ years of software development experienceStrong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages such as PythonUnderstanding of X86 based personal computer architectureKnowledge of systems software, data structures and algorithmsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skillsDesirable RequirementsBachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical fieldUEFI BIOS or firmware development experience with Intel and/or AMD x86 architecturesExperience with version control systems such as Subversion or GitKnowledge of Agile software development methodologies and experience with software collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluenceHere’s our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
