Video Network Engineer

SimVentions, Inc. (Glassdoor 4.6) is seeking an RF Network Engineer to support cutting-edge Defense & Aerospace programs within our Information Technology (IT) & Digital Solutions organization. In this role, you will apply your RF and networking expertise to design, implement, and optimize secure, mission-focused communication solutions for the Department of Defense. You will work closely with systems, software, and cybersecurity engineers to architect integrated RF network solutions that enable resilient, high-performance connectivity for complex platforms and mission environments.

As an RF Network Engineer at SimVentions, you will perform RF propagation analysis, link budget development, and interference assessments to ensure robust coverage and performance across a variety of operational scenarios. You will configure and integrate RF components—including antennas, radios, amplifiers, and associated infrastructure—into larger network architectures, and you will troubleshoot performance issues using test equipment, modeling tools, and traffic analytics. Your work will span laboratory environments and representative operational settings, where you will support system integration, testing, and validation of RF networks under realistic conditions.

You will be responsible for analyzing network performance data, identifying bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements to reliability, throughput, and resiliency. Using your familiarity with IP networking, routing, QoS, and secure network design, you will help ensure that RF transport layers and backhaul networks are aligned with cybersecurity and spectrum policies applicable to DoD systems. You will prepare clear technical documentation, including design artifacts, test plans, configuration baselines, and results reports that support stakeholder reviews and accreditation activities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in RF engineering and wireless networking, practical experience with tools such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and RF modeling software, and a working knowledge of relevant DoD or aerospace standards. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is expected, along with experience in RF propagation, link budgets, and RF network integration. Relevant certifications—such as Security+ for working in DoD environments or vendor networking certifications—are a plus.
