Commercial Estimator - Construction


A reputable commercial contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is a strong opportunity to join a company with a steady pipeline of work and a collaborative team environment.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates, manage bid processes, and support project teams from concept through award.


Key Responsibilities


• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects • Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings and specifications • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids • Develop budgets and conceptual estimates during preconstruction • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options • Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during bid process • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors • Assist in bid submissions and proposal preparation


Qualifications


• 3-8+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating • Experience with ground-up and/or renovation projects • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Experience with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.) • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Stable work history within commercial construction


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience) • Competitive compensation package • Full benefits (health, dental, vision) • Bonus potential based on performance • Strong pipeline of commercial projects • Opportunity for growth within preconstruction team
