About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 12 Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience Description: We have three Cath Labs and two EP Labs. Weekend call requirements include one weekend per month and one to two weekdays per week. Floating within the facility and to other locations as needed is required. Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit. If clinically approved and compliant with guidelines, candidates will be sent for final decision. Maximum requested time off is seven days. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Compliance is required to start on time. All compliance documents must be submitted by the deadline. Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation, varying by specialty. Daily census ranges from 15 to 25 patients. The unit supports adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available. Special procedures performed in the unit include interventional and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. Skills required include assisting with central line insertion, circulating procedures, and monitoring procedural sedation. Additional skills needed include infection prevention, IV management, and patient care in a Cath Lab setting.
