This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, compliant, and highly available network systems that support research labs, clinical systems, and corporate operations.The ideal candidate has strong enterprise networking experience and understands the unique requirements of GMP-regulated environments, including system validation, data integrity, and audit readiness.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure across office and laboratory environmentsConfigure and maintain Cisco devices (wireless and switches), Palo Alto Firewalls and PrismaSupport segmented networks for lab instruments, manufacturing systems, and corporate usersEnsure network compliance with FDA, and SOX requirements where applicablePartner with Quality and Compliance teams on validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ)Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using tools like SolarWinds or similar platformsImplement and maintain network security controlsSupport cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and hybrid connectivity to SaaS platforms (e.g., Veeva, NetSuite)Maintain accurate network diagrams, SOPs, and audit-ready documentationParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and change management processesWork closely with cybersecurity, and support teams to support critical systems Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)4–7+ years of experience in network engineering within regulated or enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of Layer 2/Layer3 switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANsHands-on experience with Cisco, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto (Devices and Prisma) and other network technologiesExperience managing firewalls, global protect VPNs, and cisco switchesFamiliarity with network monitoring and alerting toolsStrong troubleshooting skills across both infrastructure and application connectivity Preferred QualificationsExperience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizationsUnderstanding of GMP validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) and audit requirementsCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Palo Alto PCNSEExperience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, ExpressRoute/VPN Gateway)Familiarity with lab environments, including instrument connectivity and OT networks Soft SkillsAbility to work cross-functionally with scientists, lab managers, and compliance teamsStrong documentation skills with an emphasis on audit readinessDetail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and system reliabilityAbility to prioritize in a fast-moving R&D-driven environment$120,000 - $140,000 a yearCompensation and BenefitsThe posted salary range represents Capricor’s good-faith estimate of the salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position at the time of hire.
