Job Description

The Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) is seeking to hire a full-time board-certified/board-eligible fellowship-trained Neuro-Oncologist to work within PNI Medical Group and at Saint Johns Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. The position offers a blend of clinical neuro-oncology and clinical trial oversight for patients with malignant and benign brain tumors. The selected candidate will join and work closely with the current neuro-oncologists.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a neuro-oncologist with a strong clinical and research interest in brain tumor treatment and research. The PNI Brain Tumor Center faculty has extensive expertise in the neurosurgical and medical management of patients with all types of malignant and benign brain tumors, including a long academic track record in conducting industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials for patients with gliomas, metastatic brain tumors, chordomas and other uncommon brain tumors. Interested candidates should have demonstrated clinical expertise and an academic track record in neuro-oncology clinical trials.

PNI Medical Group has a professional services agreement with Providence Health with its main neuroscience clinics at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA with a second major clinic at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA. PNI encompasses nine Centers of Excellence that include 36 physicians across 10 specialties, 14 advanced practice providers, and 6 PhDs. Many of the PNI faculty are also faculty at Saint Johns Cancer Institute (saintjohnscancer.org ), also based at Saint Johns Health Center.

PNI has an active teaching program for undergraduate and graduate students and a robust CME program as well as a long-standing patient education effort in brain tumors and brain health. Providence Health provides strong brain tumor support services including nurse navigators, advance practice providers, social workers, and support groups.

• Compensation is between $343,315 and $670,905 per year

• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
