Cable Technician

This is a hands-on opportunity to build your career in data centers and network infrastructure. You’ll gain experience in large-scale builds, work with fiber and structured cabling.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install and route Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
• Pull, terminate, and test cables, including 110/66 blocks and patch panels
• Perform rack and stack installations and build network closets
• Install cable tray, conduit, wireway, and other infrastructure components
• Mount backboards, racks, cross-connects, patch panels, and fiber hardware
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments on data center builds
• Operate hand and power tools such as cable cutters, drills, and compression tools
• Ensure proper grounding of racks, equipment, and cabling

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of commercial cabling or similar experience
• Experience with structured cabling, including Cat5 and Cat6
• Strong skills in cable installation, punch-downs, and terminations
• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow technical documentation
• Knowledge of universal communications color codes
• Reliable transportation to job sites

Nice to Have

• Fiber optic installation or pulling experience
• Network equipment exposure
• Experience working in data centers or large commercial environments

Work Environment

• Construction and data center settings

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Social Circle, GA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
