Professional development: Access to our free, online training that covers trauma-informed teaching, classroom management, and more Responsibilities Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education. Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere. Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment. Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed. Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures. Qualifications Must have 30 or more college credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Must be at least 21 years old. Must provide three (3) professional references. Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Background results must be Clearinghouse. Typically includes a fingerprint-based criminal background check, which often includes child abuse and neglect registry check, or as required by state law and/or school district policy. Background checks are evaluated against both applicable state standards and Sub Teacher Sources’ own screening standards; even if certain conduct is permitted under state regulations, it may still be considered unacceptable under our standards. Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and grade levels. Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives. Desired Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
