Respiratory Therapist (Travel)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 weeks
Employment Type: Contract ( NO BENEFITS )
Shift: Nights, 19:00 to 07:00
Job Summary
We are seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in an acute care setting. Every other weekend is required, including holidays (based on the weekend schedule). Traveler candidates only.
Duties
- Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients
- Institute and monitor oxygen therapy
- Assist physicians in instituting and maintaining continuous ventilation
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Perform pulmonary function tests
- Perform radial arterial punctures
- Perform the majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy
- New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
- 2 years of post-A.A.S. clinical acute care experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Preferred
- Pediatric experience
