Job Description The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of the first‑year and transfer classes each year for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. Tufts Admissions is charged with meeting various enrollment goals across schools and programs. Overview As an Admissions Data Analyst, you will support the office’s strategy for data collection, analysis, and presentation, and will oversee long‑term management of complex projects that involve data analysis, assessment, staff coordination, and training development. What You'll Do Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, your responsibilities include: Implementing and supporting the office’s strategy for data collection, analysis and presentation; managing complex projects, delegating tasks, and creating training materials. Analyzing applicant and enrollment data to identify trends, opportunities, and to evaluate the effect of office initiatives. Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic planning for recruitment, yield and prospect funnel. Creating and contributing to presentations, reports and deliverables for campus stakeholders. Synthesizing and communicating data, methods, conclusions and recommendations effectively. Liaising with campus partners such as the Office of Graduate Admissions, the Office of Institutional Research, University Counsel, and the Student Services Technology Team, and with external partners like College Board, Scoir, Common Application and the Coalition for College. Creating, facilitating or contributing to office training initiatives for admissions officers and administrative staff, as requested by the Dean or Director. Completing other projects and duties as assigned. The office operates in a hybrid modality; you should maintain a regular campus presence. A letter of interest and resume are required for this position. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree. Several years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis. Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills. Experience with Slate or a similar CRM. Experience creating and delivering data‑driven reports and presentations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to “tell a story” using data. Experience with statistical software such as R, Stata, SPSS or similar tools. Project management skills, preferably in a fast‑paced, timeline‑driven environment. Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations. Comfort with independent and group travel. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within higher education. Pay Range Minimum $60,000.00, Midpoint $75,000.00, Maximum $90,100.00. Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range. An employee in this position must complete all appropriate background checks at the time of hire, promotion, or transfer.
