TRANSITION SPECIALIST / ISS ACADEMIC TUTOR

The Transition Specialist / ISS Academic Tutor provides support to students returning after an extended absence and/or facing disciplinary consequences that warrant an In-School Suspension. This role will support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being to help them rejoin a full academic schedule. The position also serves as a liaison among a variety of stakeholders both inside and outside of the school setting, requiring strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and relationship‑building skills to effectively coordinate supports and ensure student success. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; experience in school counseling or student services is preferred Experience in working with middle-level students, supporting them both academically and emotionally Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with administration, teachers, guidance counselors, students, and families Strong organization - tracking of student attendance and assignments Salary commensurate with related experience.
