Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing) Entry-Level to Experienced | Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire Pay: $70,000 - $100,000+ annually , depending on experience and credentials (PE candidates considered at market rate) A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent engineering graduate looking to launch their career or an experienced mechanical/plumbing designer seeking a smaller, collaborative environment with long-term stability. This team specializes in commercial building design including restaurants, multifamily, office, and retail projects. Responsibilities Prepare mechanical and plumbing system designs for commercial building projects. Produce and modify construction drawings using AutoCAD . Assist with HVAC and plumbing system layouts and calculations. Coordinate with electrical and architectural teams throughout project development. Support projects from design through construction. Ensure designs meet applicable building codes and client requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant mechanical design experience. AutoCAD experience is required. Experience with HVAC and plumbing system design is preferred. EIT is a plus. PE license is welcomed but not required . Strong communication skills and willingness to learn. Why Join?
