• Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date.
• Must be open to floating to any MS/Tele, ER Holding, or possibly PCU/Stepdown depending on skills and need.

Description:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a float pool capacity. Must work six weekend nights per six-week schedule and holiday as needed. Patient ratio is 1:7. The RN will be required to administer various medical interventions. Travelers requesting time off during holidays will not be accommodated. The RN should have experience accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Knowledge in cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. Experience in managing dysrhythmias and telemetry is required. Ability to perform wound care and manage IVs is necessary. The unit will handle a variety of patients, including those with COPD, diabetes, and multiple medical conditions. The RN should be familiar with interdisciplinary support staff, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Floating assignments will comply with floating policies and standards. Modules must be completed during employment. Proof of residency will be required upon acceptance of the position. This position requires ongoing education, and certifications must remain current.
