This opportunity offers the chance to lead complex projects in occupied hospitality environments while minimizing disruption to hotel operations. As a Traveling Assistant Project Manager, you will collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams while developing your career through high-profile projects across the United States.
\n \nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Support end-to-end project management for hotel renovation projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. \n
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software. \n
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and hotel stakeholders to support seamless project execution. \n
- Monitor on-site construction activities, safety requirements, quality control, and compliance with plans and specifications. \n
- Assist with contracts, change orders, procurement, project documentation, and stakeholder communications. \n
- Support cost forecasting and budget management using HeavyBid or comparable construction estimating software. \n
- Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to track milestones, identify risks, and resolve issues promptly. \n
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, Civil 3D models, and architectural and technical drawings. \n
Must-Have Skills:
\n- \n
- Previous construction experience, preferably managing or coordinating hospitality renovation projects. \n
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States, including up to 100% travel. \n
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and automobile. \n
- Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices. \n
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, architectural plans, and technical drawings. \n
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling software. \n
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore or Bluebeam. \n
- Strong organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. \n
- Ability to pass a background check. \n
Nice-to-Have Skills:
\n- \n
- Experience with hotel renovations, brand conversions, or occupied-building construction. \n
- Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software. \n
- Knowledge of construction contracts and applicable construction law. \n
- Experience coordinating projects for major hospitality brands. \n
- Familiarity with Civil 3D models and advanced technical drawing coordination. \n
- Experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. \n
