Operating Room - Surgical Technologist - $1970 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - United Health Services.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - A certification as a Surgical Technologist is required; however, this position can also be filled by an LPN, provided they have previous experience in the operating room as a scrub tech.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Operating Room experience.

Required Credentials: - High School diploma or equivalent.

Unit Details: - Cases include orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, podiatry, ENT, and pain management. - Observes and practices sterile technique, maintains asepsis, and anticipates and assists the surgeon as needed. - Assists the surgeon with gowning, gloving, draping, passing instruments and related items during procedures; assists in suturing, retracting, and suctioning under direction of the surgeon. - Prepares cases by assembling supplies and equipment in accordance with preference cards, maintains sponge, tape, needle, dissector, and instrument counts, handles specimens, and expedites OR turnover. - Uses Epic.

Shift & Scheduling: - Day rotation shift, Monday - Friday, with the possibility of occasional overtime (generally, cases do not run over by more than an hour at the end of the day). - Rotating call duty.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
