Family Practice - With OB Physician

Description & Requirements

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics (FM-OB) to join our collegial, patient-centered team in McCall, Idaho . This role offers a unique opportunity to practice full-spectrum family medicine-including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care-while serving a close-knit, rural mountain community.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine care across all ages (newborn to geriatric)
• Deliver full-scope OB care , including:
  • Prenatal care
  • Labor and delivery
  • Postpartum care
• Participate in shared call coverage for obstetrics and family medicine
• Perform procedures aligned with training (e.g., C-sections if credentialed, depending on site needs)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team , including MDs, APPs, nurses, and specialists
• Utilize Epic EMR to document and coordinate care
• Promote quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Option to support inpatient care depending on practice model

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
• Fellowship training or substantial experience in Obstetrics (FM-OB) preferred
• Eligible for Idaho medical licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (NRP preferred for OB providers)
• Demonstrated commitment to rural health and community engagement

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience practicing in a rural or critical access hospital setting
• Competence in low-risk and moderate-risk obstetrics
• Surgical OB experience (C-sections) preferred but not required, depending on site
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Practice Environment

• Practice located at St. Luke's McCall Medical Center , a critical access hospital
