Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Designer to support our client, a large and well-established industrial engineering company. This role will support technical design functions by converting and cleaning mechanical component drawings using SolidEdge, with a strong focus on accuracy and standards compliance. If you bring expertise in large assemblies, Autodesk Vault, and Inventor, this is an opportunity to work on critical systems in a detail-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop large mechanical assemblies, including skids, structural frames, mold tooling, piping systems, and machine components. Create 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault for manufacturing and assembly. Collaborate with engineers on R&D projects, prototyping, and design for manufacturability. Participate in design reviews, offering feedback on assembly feasibility, safety, and cost optimization. Maintain accurate documentation and revision control using Autodesk Vault and related software. Coordinate with machine shops, procurement, and vendors during the fabrication process. Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) principles and follow company/industry standards for drawing accuracy and clarity. Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting, preferably in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial equipment. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor designing large assemblies. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, structural components, and industrial equipment layouts. Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and customer specifications. Experience designing for fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly.
