CMM Programmer

Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for a CMM Programmer in Sterling Heights, MI. Job Description:The CMM Programmer/Operator will provide primary support for the development of Dimensional Reporting programs and/or templates. This candidate will apply knowledge in the latest version of dimensional reporting software. The CMM programmer/operator will take an active role in the completion of the scheduled measurement cycle through operation of CMM equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop operating programs to provide accurate dimensional reporting

• Perform review and evaluation of CMM holding fixtures, component part, and assembly inspection fixtures;
• Complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results
• Perform and/or assist with calibration of inspection fixtures, gauges, holding fixtures, tools, etc. per established schedules;
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
• Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer audits
• The position is 1st shift, working 40-55 hours per week or a flexible split/swing shift
• Adhere to Team Handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures;
• Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately;
• Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Experience and Education:

1. CMM Inspection and Programming experience with Ziess or PC- DMIS2020R or NEWER or GOM & ATOS
2. Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T
3. Experience with inspecting formed sheet metal products
4. Perform 1st Piece Laser Machining and Form Buy-offs
5. Ability to complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results
6. Must be able to works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
7. Must have good organizational and documentation skills
8. Background in Automotive and Aerospace Products is a plus
