Phlebotomist- Southgate

Phlebotomist - SouthgateWe are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team in Southgate. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in outpatient settings, with opportunities for both stationary and float positions.ResponsibilitiesDraw patient blood samples, properly process, and package them, approximately 25-30 times per day.Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.Coordinate the pickup and shipping of samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.Essential SkillsProficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.Experience in specimen collection and processing.At least 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.Ability to perform 200 plus solo draws.Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer tube colors for multiple tube collections.Additional Skills & QualificationsPhlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.High School Diploma.Work EnvironmentThe team wears navy blue scrubs. Approximately 15 people work onsite in Farmington, but at the individual offsite location, there can be anywhere from 0 to 2 other employees. When working offsite, you may be part of a team of 0 to 3 people, depending on the location. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Raises are available at 6 months.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southgate, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
