Job OverviewHere at Fairview, we are now seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN! This is a casual positon that will work as needed by the department. There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available to pick up. Must work a minimum of 1 shift per month and 1 holiday per year.The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care team. ResponsibilitiesPerforms diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner.Verifies patient identification and documentationReviews physician order prior to exam or procedure.Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate health care professional.Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examRecognizes structures visualized and understands their significance.Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols.Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to radiologists.Required QualificationsARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) within 90 DaysRVT or RVS registered within one year of hireBasic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Upon HirePreferred QualificationsARDMS registered in multiple specialties Upon HireBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
