Position Hiring Event Staff - San Antonio, Texas Overview Event staff at Freeman Coliseum greet, engage, and interact with customers at sporting events, concerts, and other gatherings. Responsibilities include cash handling, traffic directing, making correct change, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and provide correct change. Collect parking fees and distribute tickets. Assist customers by answering questions about parking and event details. Expedite traffic flow and determine traffic patterns during equipment failure or construction. Adhere to dress code and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Follow all safety standards and communicate with management and supervisors. Prepare and reconcile reports. Take direction from managers, supervisors, and emergency responders during emergencies. Perform additional duties as assigned, including flagger work, break management, and distribution of walkie‑talkies, vests, and hand warmers. Train newly hired employees. Experience and Qualifications 1+ year in a customer service role (combined experience) is preferred. Experience handling cash and conducting monetary transactions. Prior experience working outdoors or in extreme weather conditions. Skills Professional and effective communication in English. Ability to handle challenging or emotionally charged situations. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Strong team‑building and interpersonal skills. Sense of urgency, timeliness, and willingness to seek improvement. Capable of standing on feet for extended periods of time. Physical Demands Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
