Private Duty Caregiver

Responsibilities/Qualifications Imagine being a vital pillar of support, bringing joy and comfort to our elderly clients. As a caregiver, you will have the unique chance to provide both physical and emotional assistance, forming genuine connections with our clients. You will work 4 to 12‑hour flexible shifts at a rate starting at $18.00 per hour. Competitive pay rates, flexible schedules, full‑time to part‑time hours available. We are looking for candidates who are ready to work and love taking care of the elderly. Current shift from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm is available. Responsibilities Use transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit‑to‑stand, gait belts, and slide boards. Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking. Evaluate changes in client’s health and confer with other healthcare team members as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of the environment, which may include light housekeeping. Use and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies. Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor. Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities. Follow schedule, assisting residents with repositioning. Transport client to doctor’s appointments or shopping. Complete all required documents and charting. Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals. Provide companionship for the client. Follow all Homestead policies and procedures. Requirements Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience. Experience passing medications. Able to pass a criminal background check. Valid driver’s license and insurance. High school diploma or GED.
