LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Medical Records Specialist for our healthcare client in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with medical records, navigating multiple electronic systems, and ensuring providers have accurate patient information available before appointments.

About the Role

• Type: Temp to Hire
• Location: Knoxville, TN.
• Compensation: $18-$20 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and prepare documentation for upcoming appointments
• Retrieve and organize medical records, diagnostic reports, imaging results, and other clinical documentation from various electronic sources
• Upload and maintain accurate information within the electronic medical record system
• Verify that required documentation is available and complete prior to patient visits
• Communicate with healthcare facilities, provider offices, and other sources to obtain missing records
• Maintain organization and accuracy while managing a high volume of patient information
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards
• Assist with document management and record maintenance as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office, medical records, health information management, or related healthcare environment
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent computer, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
