Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Complex Intervention Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed adult acute care unit divided between a 6-bed acute care side and a 12-bed behavioral health co-occurring conditions side
• Manage a patient assignment of 1:3 on the acute care side or 1:4 on the behavioral health side
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to deliver safe, effective care
• Float within scope of practice to meet unit needs as required
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (South Carolina license must be active prior to start date)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
