EXCAVATOR/GRADALL OPERATOR

Position Summary Branch's Civil Division is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Excavator Operator to join our well-established, growing company. The Excavator Operator operates power shovel on which digger is pulled toward machine to excavate. All machines will be over cubic yard. Duties/Responsibilities Grades to line and grade May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment Can operate on track or rubber tired and also included under this title will be gradall or wrist‑o‑twist type equipment May complete minor repairs Routine cleaning of equipment Qualifications Knowledge of construction techniques 1 to 3 years of excavator operating experience Working knowledge of OSHA regulations DOT experience preferred, but not required Competencies Dependability Communicating Effectively Work Environment/Safety Following Policies and Procedures Productivity Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
