Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required. Previous charge experience preferred. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Epic charting experience required. Telemetry skills required. Ability to float within service line/scope of practice as needed. Must be willing to work every other weekend. References from within the last 24 months are required. Description: The position requires experience in a mixed unit setting. Nursing duties will include caring for medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care patients. Staff must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV insulin protocols. Daily patient ratios are five patients per nurse on all shifts. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. All candidates should possess strong communication skills. Candidates will be part of an interdisciplinary support team. Additional requirements include maintaining compliance with vaccine mandates. Floating to other units or facilities may be required based on staffing needs. This role demands flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be prepared for varying patient diagnoses and care procedures. A strong commitment to patient care and safety is essential.
