Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Room, including 2 trauma bays, with an average daily census of approximately 22 patients
• Perform triage using a pull-to-full model within ER rooms; all nurses are expected to triage
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen equipment; RNs are required to be knowledgeable in all respiratory equipment
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently; no monitor technicians are on staff
• Administer care for common presentations including chest pain, abdominal pain, and generalized weakness
• Collaborate with a single ER physician per shift; no mid-level providers on staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP certifications required
• Ability to independently read cardiac monitor strips
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen
• Must comply with facility clock-in and clock-out requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a critical access or small community hospital emergency setting
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg when needed
• Comfort working in a low-resource environment without on-site respiratory therapy or anesthesia support
