Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Underground Foreman – Dry Utilities to lead field operations for the installation of underground power, conduit, substructures, and related concrete work. The ideal candidate is a safety-conscious leader with strong technical expertise, proven crew management skills, and a drive for efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate dry utility installation projects, including trenching, conduit placement, and concrete substructures
• Enforce safety protocols in alignment with 4216 regulations and 811 dig requirements
• Identify when and how to use shoring and manage excavation near existing utilities
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe execution
• Delegate responsibilities effectively across crews and contractors
• Maintain daily documentation and job site records
• Work flexible shifts, including overtime as required
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and productivity on-site

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of underground utility construction experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Solid understanding of dry utility installation and excavation safety practices
• Knowledge of trenching, shoring, and working near existing utilities
• Ability to interpret construction plans and utility drawings SCE,PGE,AT&T and Comcast
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Team-oriented and results-driven
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Equipment Operator
• Knowledge of asphalt and concrete restoration

Physical Requirements:

• Extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Long periods of sitting in moving or vibrating machinery
• Repetitive use of hand and foot controls
• Exposure to loud or noisy environments
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
• Close and distance vision required
• Must be able to drive and travel to various sites
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and access active construction areas

Our Competitive Package:

• Pay: $35 to $50 per hour
• Final pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
