Certified Medical Coder

Now Hiring: Certified Medical Coder Full-Time On-Site Position Bluestone Health Association, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable and detailed-oriented Certified Medical Coder to join our team. This is a Full-time, On-site position. Previous experience with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing and coding is strongly preferred. Qualifications: Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Or equivalent nationally recognized coding certificate. Previous medical coding experience required FQHC billing and coding experience preferred Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding Understand of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation requirements, and coding guidelines Experience reviewing medical records for accurate and complete coding Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Ability to work effectively with providers, billing staff, and other members of the healthcare team Job Responsibilities: Review clinical documentation and assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes Ensure coding is supported by provider documentation and meets applicable coding and billing guidelines Review records for coding accuracy and resolution of coding-related denials Communicate with providers regarding documentation and coding clarification when necessary Stay current with changes to CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, Medicare, Medicaid, and payer-specific coding requirements Support accurate billing practices within the FQHC environment Maintain confidentiality and compliance with the organizational policies and applicable federal and state requirements Position Details Employment: Full-Time Work Location: on-site Experience: FQHC billing/coding experience preferred Bluestone Health Association, Inc. offers an opportunity to join a team-based healthcare organization dedicated to serving our patients and communities.
