Position Registered Nurse – Operating Room, Baylor The Heart Hospital, Dallas. Shift and Patient Population Shift: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 3 12‑hour shifts per week. Patient population: Vascular surgery, minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery. Responsibilities Provide peri‑operative nursing care in a fast‑paced OR environment. Assist with or scrub during surgical procedures, including heart surgery. Maintain patient ratios of 1 RN/1 tech per case; may support additional RNs on high‑acuity cases. Participate in call schedule: one weeknight every week, one weekend every 6 weeks, one holiday per year. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 1 year OR RN experience, preferably 2 years. Experience with vascular or cardiac surgery preferred; strong preference for RNs who scrub. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. BSN or higher education in nursing from an accredited program preferred. Benefits Competitive base salary with RN bonus program.
