Materials Kitting & Inventory Control Specialist

Picture your morning: you roll onto the production floor with a pick list in hand, wheel a pallet jack to the stockroom, and start building perfectly labeled kits for active assembly jobs. By mid-morning, you’ve staged components in job bins, confirmed quantities against BOMs and work orders, and updated counts in the ERP so purchasing can see what to replenish. After lunch, you’re in a quick production meeting, flagging a potential material shortage and collaborating with shipping and customer service to keep the build on track. Before you wrap up, you run a few cycle counts, tidy locations, and log updates that boost accuracy for tomorrow’s runs.

How You’ll Contribute

• Pick, stage, and organize materials so assembly teams start each job with complete and correct kits.
• Build and maintain job bins; move materials safely across the floor with a pallet jack (forklift exposure is a bonus).
• Track inventory in real time: record movements, execute cycle counts, and trigger replenishment.
• Label and reconcile both customer-supplied and purchased parts to maintain traceability.
• Partner with purchasing, production, shipping, and customer service to prevent shortages and keep schedules intact.
• Join weekly production meetings and propose ideas that sharpen accuracy and efficiency.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years in inventory, stockroom, material handling, or manufacturing within a hands-on production environment.
• Comfort with work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs) tied to assembly/manufacturing jobs.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
• Computer savvy: Microsoft Outlook and Excel, plus experience in ERP systems.
• Self-directed and proactive communicator who prioritizes well and solves problems independently.

Nice-to-Have

• Forklift experience.
• Background with cycle counting, inventory audits, and stock replenishment processes.
• Exposure to NetSuite, Monday.com, or comparable ERP/production planning tools.
• Experience supporting project-based builds or handling customer-owned inventory.

Schedule & Workload

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Occasional flexibility for early starts or late finishes as needed
• Minimal overtime (typically 0–5 hours per week)
