Sterile Processing TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves maintaining the highest standards of sterilization techniques for surgical instruments and equipment.ResponsibilitiesEnsure proper sterilization and disinfection of medical instruments and equipment.Prepare and organize surgical trays and instruments.Utilize aseptic techniques and adhere to safety protocols.Document sterilization processes and maintain accurate records.Conduct routine checks and maintenance of sterilization equipment.Work collaboratively with surgical teams to meet operational needs.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field.Experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgery center is required.Certification from IAHCSMM or HSPA is preferred.Familiarity with charting systems and decontamination processes.Ability to effectively organize and manage surgical trays and instruments.Knowledge of various sterilization methods, including steam and chemical sterilization.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile environments.Work ScheduleThis position may involve working day or night shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts.Additional InformationCandidates may be expected to float between various locations as necessary. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application, and any changes thereafter may not be accommodated.If selected, candidates will be provided with necessary communication devices for their role at no cost.
