Remote Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a Remote Senior Tax Manager on a contract to hire basis for our distribution client. This role will manage the company's federal and multi-state tax provisions, tax compliance, and various tax projects. This is a high-impact tax leadership role for someone with strong income tax compliance, ASC 740, SOX, and corporate tax experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations across U.S. and international legal entities.
• Prepare multi-state apportionment and calculate blended state tax rates.
• Manage preparation and review of consolidated corporate income tax returns.
• Prepare and review quarterly estimated income tax payments and reconcile tax account roll-forwards.
• Perform tax research and analysis for special projects.
• Assist with IRS and state income tax audits.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and internal business units.
• Maintain current knowledge of U.S. federal tax legislation and U.S. GAAP financial statement reporting requirements for taxes, with strong ASC 740 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• 8 years of federal and state income tax compliance experience ideally in both public accounting and corporate environments
• Strong ASC 740 and tax provision experience
• Experience working in SOX environments
• OneStream experience is a plus
