Details Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) in a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU Level I Trauma Center, short-term acute care hospital setting Average patient ratio of 1:2 for both day and night shifts Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Will float to other Heart and Vascular Center ICUs within scope Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted) Minimum 3 years of cardiac ICU experience required Previous charge nurse experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (CCRN preferred) Proficiency with Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery line monitoring required Experience with Epic charting system required Trauma Level I experience preferred Skilled in cardiovascular procedures including CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and post cardiac surgery care Experience managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition 1 professional reference required Additional Information Provide high-acuity nursing care to complex cardiovascular ICU patients, including pre/post cardiac catheterization and intervention patients Work within a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center environment First-time travelers accepted with cardiothoracic ICU and/or critical care experience RTO requests greater than 7 days require facility approval Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the hospital Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only American Traveler Job ID P-765202.
