About the Facility Willow Rock is a 16‑bed Psychiatric Health Facility in Alameda County serving adolescents 12‑17 years old who are experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms. Position Summary The Social Work Clinician III independently provides clinical and casework services to members served and their natural supports. This role involves person‑centered recovery planning, collaborating with other services and agencies, and may include supervising unlicensed staff. Shifts Available On‑Call | AM | Shifts: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Days: Saturday‑Sunday Compensation Expected starting wage is $38.24. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is subject to union membership requirements upon hire. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges; starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work, psychology, or an equivalent accredited field Two (2) years of direct service experience in a behavioral health setting Licensure (LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, LPCC, QMHP, QMHA) Must be at least 18 years of age Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI/ProAct certified on date of employment or within 60 days and maintain current certification throughout employment Must successfully complete a post‑offer physical examination, 2‑step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearance, excluded parties sanctions, and degree or license verification. If driving is required, a valid driver license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required at time of employment and must be maintained. Preferred Previous experience with the population served or working in a similar program setting Two (2) years of post‑licensure experience to provide clinical supervision to license‑eligible staff Essential Functions Demonstrate Telecare’s mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in interactions with internal and external stakeholders Conduct psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, group and individual clinical services, case coordination, and documentation Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with members served Ensure provision of needed clinical services to assigned members served Coordinate ongoing treatment within the program and with outside agencies Provide individual and group therapy Document all treatment provided in a thorough and consistent manner Collaborate with staff in discharge planning and connect members to community services Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and recovery planning meetings Demonstrate knowledge of de‑escalation techniques, crisis communication, and crisis management Serve as a clinical consultant to recovery team members If employed at the Inpatient program, assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault/crisis prevention training If employed at the Outpatient program, assist members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault/crisis prevention training Skills Ability to complete social histories, risk assessments, mental health status exams, and plans of care Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation therapists Ability to form therapeutic alliances with members served and families Medical knowledge sufficient to assess members' needs Skills in conducting group therapy Ability to advocate for members served in other health delivery systems Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, squat, kneel, and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less, as well as frequently reach, twist, and perform simple and power grasping.
