Psychiatry - Inpatient Nurse Practitioner - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient Adult Mental Health team in Syracuse, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive 30-bed unit alongside experienced Providers, clinical, and support staff, to care for and provide treatment to adults with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. Position Details Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for an average of 8–10 patients Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, nursing staff, and peer specialists Manage inpatient care within a structured, team-based environment focused on high-quality outcomes Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with no weekend requirements Opportunity Highlights Location: St. Joseph’s Health – Syracuse, NY Supportive and collaborative inpatient setting with strong provider and system support Structured orientation and onboarding for all new providers Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities Ability to make a meaningful impact in a high-need patient population Qualifications Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license DEA certification required Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ACLS and BLS certifications required Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills Commitment to team-oriented, patient-centered care Compensation Competitive salary range: $130,000-$152,000 based on experience Salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, quality incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. Final compensation may vary based on experience, training, and market factors in accordance with State law.
