Fauquier Health’s Wellness Center offers a Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program within a wellness-focused environment, and our Clinical Dietitians play an important role in educating and supporting our members throughout their wellness journey. In addition to providing 1:1 dietary consultations as part of cardiac rehabilitation , our dietitians lead educational workshops, create and present educational videos, and participate in our hands-on Cooking School .

Specialized education will be provided through Pritikin and must be successfully completed in order to teach Pritikin programming.

How you’ll contribute

A Clinical Dietician who excels in this role:

• Assesses patient's nutritional status and needs. Develops and implements patient care plans and assesses patient responses.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, pharmacy and other healthcare team members/departments to determine, coordinate, and provide medical nutrition therapy.
• Develops and provides education, training, consulting, and counseling services throughout the organization and for the community on topics including eating disorders, weight loss, and dietary modifications for healthy lifestyles.

What we’re looking for - position specific
Applicants should have licensure in Virginia as Registered Dietician (new hires have 6 months to obtain).

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or nutrition is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within first week of hire.
