Logistics Advisor - Senior Expert

What you will do Lead and drive mid/long term strategies and projects to ensure SC/MCT becomes a competitive advantage, pursuing commercial intensity in line with industry trends and benchmarking. Lead and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise and automate delivery processes, supporting sustainable growth and significant scaling of the business. Engage cross‑regionally and cross‑functionally with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, analyse root causes and develop solutions to prevent recurrence. Create value by managing logistics relationships, developing a 3P strategy, translating third‑party services/products/capabilities and relevant industry knowledge into operational excellence and improvement opportunities. Support projects to improve service level and customer experience, on‑time delivery, and communicate potential improvement initiatives to operations teams. Be responsible for and lead scope development for growth related to containerised shipments. Apply advanced analytics techniques to extract, synthesize and analyse data to support decision‑making and improvement opportunities. Drive implementation of digital solutions internally and externally. Support Polaris for MCT‑related processes. Basic Qualifications BS or MSc degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field. 6–10 years of experience (Junior Advisor) or 10+ years (Senior) as a Supply Chain Advisor, preferably in container shipping or related supply‑chain/procurement fields. Analytical thinking, competence in data management, and ability to engage stakeholders to analyse and drive improvement. Familiarity with containerised shipping operations including terminal handling, container transportation, intermodal, carrier management, regional regulations, import/export operations, tariffs, and shipping rates. Proven track record of managing logistics service providers to improve performance. Comfortable prioritising tasks in a virtual, multicultural matrix environment. Ability to translate strategy into measurable operational tasks. Project management and exceptional organisational skills. Understanding of interdependencies between business processes, system functionalities, tool capabilities, and the impact of data quality. Strong business‑systems skills, including data infrastructure, transaction flow, business events/activities translated to systems, and integration of system modules. IT skills: Excel, PowerBi, Tableau, SAP (TM, BW), Python, PowerPoint, SQL, Snowflake data modelling. Benefits Pension Plan: Automatic enrolment, monthly annuity in retirement.
