Your Role in Patient Care

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, initiating diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses both in collaboration with physicians and independently, based on your credentials
• Educating patients and their families about wellness, disease prevention, and management
• Prescribing treatments and medications according to your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care effectively
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Essential Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
