We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Outpatient Group Facilitator to join our daytime team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and adolescents and is passionate about creating a safe, structured, and encouraging group environment. Position Summary The Outpatient Group Facilitator will plan, facilitate, and support therapeutic and skill-building group activities for children and adolescents receiving outpatient services. The facilitator will help participants develop emotional regulation, communication, coping, social, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and support staff to promote continuity of care and help each participant engage meaningfully in their treatment goals. Key Responsibilities Facilitate structured outpatient groups for children and adolescents. Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate group environment. Lead activities focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, social skills, conflict resolution, and healthy decision-making. Encourage participation and engagement while respecting each child's individual needs and abilities. Monitor group dynamics and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional concerns. Reinforce positive behaviors and appropriate peer interactions. Follow established treatment plans, program guidelines, safety procedures, and organizational policies. Communicate relevant observations and participant progress to the appropriate clinical team members. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, behavioral health professionals, families, and other members of the care team as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and protect participant privacy. Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and therapeutic group setting. Participate in staff meetings, training, supervision, and professional development activities. Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children, adolescents, families, behavioral health programs, education, social services, or a related setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish appropriate professional relationships with children and adolescents. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging behaviors or situations. Preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, education, child development, human services, or a related field. Previous experience facilitating groups. Experience working with youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. Experience in an outpatient behavioral health, community mental health, school, residential, or youth-services setting. Relevant behavioral health, crisis intervention, or group-facilitation training.
