Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Step-Down setting with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Paragon charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to all unit protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee state license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted at the time of submission; no RTO will be approved from 2/08/27 through 3/31/27 due to Epic Implementation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in an IMC, PCU, or Step-Down unit setting
• Familiarity with Paragon electronic health records system
• Experience working in a high-acuity environment requiring strong assessment and critical thinking skills
