CDL Driver OpportunityYakima Waste, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety-conscious CDL Driver to join the team in Yakima, Washington. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!Hours will be 6am to when the route is complete. This route typically averages about 45 hours a week.Starting rate of pay will be $28.59 and will increase to $31.08 after one year.Looking for a career path with a growing company? Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading 500+ customer containers into the back of a manual rear load truck.Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm or when the route is completed, with an occasional Saturday as needed, average 45 hour work week. With overtime often.Working conditions and physical effort:Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
