Payroll Specialist

Responsible for accurately processing Lifeworks payroll and completing related administrative and compliance tasks, ensuring timely and error-free payroll operations. How you’ll be spending your time: Processing payroll for designated employee groups with accuracy and timeliness. Calculating and applying appropriate withholding taxes. Reconciling payroll transactions to ensure accuracy across assigned groups. Setting up and maintaining employee payroll records, including deductions and updates. Collaborating across departments to support consistent, reliable, and efficient payroll practices. Assisting with benefit deductions and enrollment processes. Responding to employment verification requests in a timely manner. Staying current on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Providing high‑quality customer service for all payroll‑related inquiries. Setting clear performance goals and actively pursuing opportunities to enhance skills and effectiveness. Requirements Associate degree in Finance or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of payroll and payroll tax experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience totaling at least 5 years. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and experience with 10‑key data entry. Ability to navigate and interpret financial databases effectively. Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll systems preferred.
