Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Nationwide Childrens and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Nationwide Childrens.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Hard stop requirement: 2 years PICU or CTPICU experience in a pediatric hospital. - Ventilator equipment requirement - Servo-U.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Prefers close to 2 year’s experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Trilogy EV300, Optiflow, NAVA (on Servo-U), IPV, Subambient/Nitrogen, and Hamilton G5 preferred.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes neonatal to adult patients with congenital or acquired heart disease, heart failure, heart transplants, lung transplants, VAD/ECMO, trach-vent dependency, and pre-op/post-op care. - Uses V60, HFOV 3100A/B, and nitric oxide.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Can be placed on-call for overtime shifts.

Floating Requirements: - Floating to General Floors, ED, NICU, PICU, and Pulmonary.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
