Sr. Accountant

Skills: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Reporting, Microsoft Excel (2+ years required), Accounting Operations, Massachusetts State Accounting Experience (preferred) Assist accounting department staff with daily accounting and financial operations.
Maintain and review general ledger transactions and account records.
Support accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and payment documentation.
Assist with accounts receivable, including transaction tracking and account reconciliation.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and accounting documentation.
Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and maintain financial data.
Help ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
Provide general accounting support as needed by the department.
Assist accounting department staff with daily accounting and financial operations.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
At least 2 years of experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
At least 2 years of Microsoft Excel experience.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate with accounting department staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Massachusetts Commonwealth of Massachusetts (COMM OF MA) state accounting processes.
Experience supporting accounting operations in a government or public-sector environment.
