Job Description Join one of our 45 offices in the US as an Architect R.A. and work with a team of professionals to deliver high‑quality solutions to clients across manufacturing and technology industries. Responsibilities Work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for clients. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other consultants to design facilities for industrial manufacturing and distribution operations. Develop architectural solutions for customers’ business needs as part of an integrated project team, including defining facility requirements/program and understanding production flow and space environmental needs. Lead architectural design for industrial projects such as manufacturing plants, distribution centers, cold storage facilities, and warehouses, working with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams. Stamp and sign all architectural construction documents. Conduct project site visits and serve as a construction administrator. Define industrial facility program requirements based on client production process flow and environmental needs. Conduct code research specific to the project site, program, and proposed use. Create renderings to communicate concepts to clients. Develop base plans and communicate requirements to other engineering disciplines. Develop schematic design including sketches. Research material options or alternative building methods as necessary. Develop specifications and oversee preparation of plans and related documents for permit acquisition and construction. Answer RFIs and review submittals and shop drawings throughout pre‑construction and construction phases. Manage and provide guidance to architectural designers. Make a day‑to‑day impact with your expertise, strengthening relationships with clients and team members. Qualifications Specialized knowledge of design in one or more of the following areas: advanced technologies, life science, pharma, food, or beverage. Minimum of seven years of facilities architectural design experience with a proven ability to lead facility design from programming/concept to construction documents, permit acquisition, and site implementation on multi‑disciplinary projects. Prior working knowledge of code studies/evaluations for semi‑conductor facilities or hazardous/classified areas. Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes (IBC in particular). Experience in the development and creation of construction documents for semi‑conductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or food and beverage industries. Experience designing greenfield facilities and renovating existing buildings. Experience designing ISO clean rooms, labs, and processing spaces. Experience designing cold storage and refrigerated processing environments. Experience coordinating design with process engineers on industrial installations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project. Willingness to travel for project requirements, including installations, start‑ups, meetings, training, and industry events. Bachelor of Architecture (BArch). Registered Architect license (RA) or Master of Architecture (MArch) (preferred). NCARB license (preferred).
