Experienced Carpenter – Lead Carpenter Opportunity

Bencar Building Systems is looking for an experienced residential carpenter to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential remodeling and design-build projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, additions, master suites, and whole-home renovations.

We're looking for a carpenter who is confident in their abilities, takes pride in their work, and wants to become a key member of our field team . This position is ideal for someone who is capable of working independently today and wants to take on greater responsibility over time.

For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to grow into a Lead Carpenter role , taking ownership of projects, coordinating with subcontractors, communicating with homeowners, and helping direct other members of the crew.

• Starting at $35/hour (open to negotiate) , based on experience

What You'll Do

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential remodeling projects
• Framing and structural carpentry
• Interior and exterior finish work
• Door and window installation
• Trim and finish carpentry
• Cabinet installation and hanging
• Drywall installation and repair
• Read plans and follow project specifications
• Work independently and solve problems in the field
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and the Bencar team
• Help train and support less-experienced carpenters

Experience with sheetrock taping, painting, and other finish trades is a strong plus.

Lead Carpenter Opportunity

We're not looking to simply fill a position—we're looking for someone who can grow with the company.

The right carpenter will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of projects, including coordinating day-to-day work, communicating with the office and homeowners, working with subcontractors, managing materials, and helping lead the crew.

You don't need to be a Lead Carpenter on day one. We're looking for someone with the experience, work ethic, judgment, and attitude to grow into that role.

• Several years of residential carpentry experience
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and remodeling
• Ability to read and understand plans
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and dependable
• Valid driver's license
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work well with a team
• Desire to continue learning and take on more responsibility
