Shifts: Wed-Sat 10a-6:30p, 32H/week

This travel position offers the unique opportunity to work within a substance abuse treatment environment, providing support to individuals detoxing from substances. This role is essential for delivering effective case management services and ensuring the provision of comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities of the Recovery Specialist - Case Management

• Maintain individual case load, conducting intake evaluations, planning, and support.
• Complete all documentation in a timely manner as per regulations.
• Coordinate with collaterals and referral sources as needed.
• Assist in retrieving patient medications from local pharmacies.
• Support staff with milieu management, de-escalation, and crisis management.
• Coordinate and support transportation needs for appointments and aftercare.
• Maintain Virtual Gateway access and complete required disenrollment assessments.
• Engage in unit searches for potential contraband as needed.
• Assess patients' continuing care needs and arrange appropriate aftercare.
• Participate in education and group programming related to recreation and wellness.
• Attend staff meetings and supervisory sessions as scheduled.
• Provide information to family members for self-help when possible.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Recovery Specialist - Case Management

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent; or Associate's degree in Human Services field
• Two to three years related experience in chemical dependency
• Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) preferred
• Able to complete on-site CPI and CPR training/certification
• Experience working with a substance abuse treatment population
• Willingness to work in a multicultural setting
• BLS certification
